NEWS FROM ROCKY'S CAMPAIGN

STUDENT-VETERAN TONY BELOT JOINS TEAM ROCKY

ORANGE—O. C. District Director of Student Veterans of America and Iraq War veteran Tony Belot today joined Rocky Chavez’s campaign for California Assembly, District 76.

“Rocky gets it!” said Belot. “Nothing is more important right now than jobs and the economy. California’s 2 million well-Iraq War veteran Tony Belottrained veterans face an unconscionably high unemployment rate. Let’s send a proven advocate for veterans and someone who will fight for our small businesses to Sacramento.”

As a student veteran, Belot will serve as an advisor to Chavez in the area of veterans’ education.

In March of 2003, Belot, a Marine veteran, was among the first soldiers sent into Iraq during the invasion. He was deployed again in 2004 to the Sunni Triangle region of Iraq for seven months. For his service, Tony was awarded the Combat Action Ribbon, Iraqi Campaign Medal, and Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal.

In 2009, his first-hand knowledge of the employment and educational barriers facing veterans in California led Student Veterans of America to appoint him Orange County District Director. In this capacity, he met Chavez, then Undersecretary of the California Department of Veterans Affairs, who was working hard to address the staggering unemployment statistics facing veterans.

The California State Legislature and the United States Congress have recognized Belot for his service in the community. Belot also attends Chapman University, majoring in political science.

Chavez recently announced his campaign for the 76th California Assembly District, with an address focusing on jobs and the economy, education, veterans, and government efficiency. Chavez served as a Marine for over twenty-eight years, retiring as a colonel. He then went on to serve almost a decade on the Oceanside City Council before heading up the Department of Veterans Affairs.

To eliminate smudges, oils, or fingerprints, a lens cleaner is recommended or you can just wash the lenses with a mild soap and water. While cleaning the lenses, remember to hold your sunglasses by the eye frame using your thumb and forefinger. Use the other hand to clean the lenses in a circular motion. Do this gently and never press hard on the lenses. fake Oakleys Antix Sunglasses Black Frame Blue
