THREE-TIME ASSEMBLYMEMBER BOB PACHECO ENDORSES ROCKY CHAVEZ
WALNUT, CA—Bob Pacheco, who represented parts of Los Angeles, Orange and San Bernardino Counties in the California Assembly until 2004, has endorsed Rocky Chavez for California Assembly, District 76.
While serving in Sacramento, Pacheco also chaired the Hispanic Republican Caucus and assisted major Republican candidates including former President George W. Bush, former Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sen. John McCain, Meg Whitman and Carly Fiorina.
“Rocky Chavez is a proven leader,” said Pacheco. “After nearly 30 years as a Marine, he knows how to fight for jobs and
government efficiency.”
After serving in city government, Pacheco was elected to the state assembly three times. A firm believer in the free market, Pacheco and his wife own and operate a manufacturing company in Walnut, Ca. He has also practiced law for more than 37 years, now the senior member of the Pacheco & Pacheco law firm.
Pacheco is also on the board of the Hispanic 100, a nonprofit organization established to promote leadership within the Hispanic community and to advance free-enterprise principals through advocacy and education.
“I’m proud to have the support of Bob Pacheco, a legend in the California Assembly,” said Chavez. “Bob knows we are in an economic crisis in California – and that government must empower the free market to bring jobs back to our state.”
Chavez is seeking to represent the 76th California Assembly District, which includes the cities of Oceanside, Vista, Carlsbad and Encinitas. The Chavez campaign will focus on jobs and the economy, education, veterans, and government efficiency. Chavez served as a Marine for more than twenty-eight years, retiring as a colonel. He then went on to serve nearly a decade on the Oceanside City Council before leading the Department of Veterans Affairs.
